Mamie Ethridge Free of Ozark passed away September 18, 2017. She was 78.
Mamie was born September 3, 1939 in Houston County. She was raised on the
family farm and grew up in the Kinsey and Newton communities until moving
to Wicksburg. After graduating from Wicksburg High School in 1957, she
moved to Dothan and worked for N.C.R. for five years. She met the love
of her life, Edward "Moe" Free and they were married and made
their home in Ozark where she was employed with the Bank of Ozark for 30
years and McDonald's Francizer for 17 years.
