Rebecca M. Turner, 74, a resident of Pinckard, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Dale Medical Center after an extended illness..

Mrs. Turner was born on July 15, 1934, in Dale County and resided in Newton the early part of her life. She lived in Pinckard for the past 30 years. She was a seamstress for most of her life and was employed with McRae's for nine years until her medical retirement in 1992.

Survivors include her sons, Donald Lamar Turner and his wife, Angie of Orlando, Timothy C. Turner and his wife, Hope of Newton; a sister, Joette Bankston and her husband, Bob; brothers, Donald McKnight, Emmett McKnight and his wife, Judy, Roy McKnight and his wife, Annette, Dennis McKnight and his wife, Carol; grandchildren, Chris Turner, Sarah Turner, Cooper Turner, Carlee Turner; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
